About Me

I've been telling stories since I learned to talk and writing since I could hold a pencil. I write YA and NA fiction, with a focus on queer women. I'm a lover of all things speculative - fantasy, sci-fi, dystopia, cyberpunk, near future, urban fantasy - or, even better, something that blurs the lines between genres. If it's not based in our reality (or we're making our reality a little weirder), I'm in.

As a queer, neurodivergent and disabled woman, I know how important is is to see yourself in the books your read and how isolating it can be when you don't. I want to write books people can see themselves in and feel seen by. My goal is to write a library of queer, diverse books that my baby gay self would have loved.

I was shortlisted for the Writing Award during the 2020 Page Turner Awards. I was also shortlisted during the 2021 Page Turner Awards for the Young Writer's Award, as well as receiving the title of Highly Commended. I've had two short stories published as well. One in "Your Body, My Rage: A Feminist Horror Anthology," and one in both issue #4 of As Alive Journal and the Scarlet Review.

When I'm not writing or reading, I spend my time making my own costumes for my dancing, embroidering, and thinking about how I should probably be writing instead of watching YouTube.

I respectfully acknowledge the unceded traditional territories of the lÉ™k̓ʷəŋən peoples on which I live, and the Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day. I am grateful to be able to live and create on these lands.
